About the Position

Detroit Axle is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Order Wave Release Supervisor to oversee order release activities and coordinate warehouse fulfillment operations at our Mississauga facility.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, order processing, inventory allocation, and high-volume order fulfillment.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with warehouse teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily order wave releases using Deposco or other warehouse management systems.
• Review and prioritize customer orders based on shipping deadlines, inventory availability, and warehouse capacity.
• Monitor order queues, released waves, backorders, and incomplete orders.
• Coordinate with the Picking Lead and Warehouse Supervisor to maintain a continuous and efficient workflow.
• Identify and resolve order allocation errors, inventory discrepancies, and processing delays.
• Ensure order releases align with picking capacity and carrier shipping deadlines.
• Monitor order processing accuracy, fulfillment performance, and warehouse system transactions.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Logistics teams.
• Operate forklifts and other authorized warehouse equipment when operationally required.
• Maintain accurate order release records, backlog reports, and exception documentation.
• Train and support employees involved in order release and warehouse system activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce order processing delays.
• Escalate system errors, inventory shortages, and unresolved operational issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with established warehouse safety and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, distribution, or order fulfillment experience.
• At least 1 year of warehouse lead or supervisory experience.
• Valid forklift operator certificate with practical operating experience.
• Hands-on experience with order wave releases, order allocation, or warehouse fulfillment systems.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory processes.
• Experience using handheld scanners and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize high-volume orders and meet shipping deadlines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Deposco WMS.
• Automotive parts or e-commerce distribution experience.
• Experience managing high-volume order queues and carrier cutoffs.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory allocation and replenishment procedures.
