About the Role
- Detroit Axle is seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations at our Ontario distribution facility.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating warehouse activities, supervising employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
- Assign tasks, coordinate employee schedules, and monitor daily productivity.
- Lead, train, and coach warehouse employees to maintain high performance standards.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, stock movements, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations.
- Ensure customer orders are processed, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Monitor warehouse performance, operational targets, and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and Ontario health and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and operational reports using Deposco or other WMS platforms.
- Identify operational challenges and implement approved process improvements.
- Coordinate with Inventory Control, Logistics, Purchasing, and other departments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift training or authorization, where required, is an asset.
