  • Registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) with a matching Deveraux-funded deferred profit-sharing plan (DPSP)
  • Transparent and rewarding workplace dedicated to supporting your professional development

What you bring...

  • Minimum of one year of accounts payable experience or formal education in accounting
  • Experience in office administration, reception, or event coordination would be considered an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A professional, service-oriented demeanour and a genuine enthusiasm for creating a welcoming office environment
  • A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach and a dedication to continuous improvement
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams), and a willingness to learn new software as needed
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or multi-entity accounting would be considered an asset

You will...

  • Process accounts payable transactions, including receiving, verifying, and accurately processing invoices and payments in compliance with Deveraux's policies and procedures in a timely manner
  • Reconcile Visa transactions and statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Act as backup and support for other accounting team members
  • Collaborate with other members of the accounting team to improve processes and streamline workflows
  • Serve as the front-of-office presence for the Calgary office, greeting visitors and managing incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, with reception responsibilities expected to grow as the office expands
  • Plan and coordinate office events and employee engagement initiatives, such as team celebrations, staff lunches, holiday functions, and company milestones, including managing vendors, catering, and on-site logistics
  • Liaise with building management and service providers on facility maintenance, repairs, security, and building access
  • Coordinate workspace needs for the Calgary office, from workstation set-up and office access for new employees today to planning and setting up new office space as we grow
  • Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies, and keep the kitchen and common areas organized and welcoming
  • Participate in other accounting and administrative responsibilities as assigned
