Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the MPW Replatform initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong Business Analysis experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to facilitate cross-functional workshops and translate complex business requirements into clear business documentation, workflows, and functional requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT Project Managers, technology teams, operations, and external vendors to understand business needs, facilitate discovery sessions, document current and future-state processes, and ensure requirements are accurately captured and aligned with project objectives.

This role will play a key part in supporting business transformation, platform implementation, and process improvement initiatives within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions involving business teams, IT Project Managers, technology teams, operations, and vendors.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear business requirements, functional documentation, and actionable workflows.
• Analyze existing business processes and develop current-state and future-state process maps, workflows, and business process documentation.
• Support vendor discovery sessions and translate discussions into business requirements, process flows, and supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional requirements, business rules, process flows, and other project documentation.
• Work closely with IT Project Managers and technology teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented.
• Identify process gaps, business impacts, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support transformation initiatives, platform replatforming, system migration, and business process optimization projects.
• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure alignment between business requirements, solution design, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams to support test scenario development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and business validation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and project delivery activities, where applicable.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate project updates, and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong Business Analysis experience within enterprise or financial services environments.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and process mapping.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear workflows, business requirements, and functional documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, project managers, and external vendors.
• Experience supporting business transformation, platform implementation, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Required Experience and Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT industry experience, including at least 5 years in a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or IT Business Analyst capacity.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid project delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and requirements management.
• Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, business workflows, and process documentation.
• Understanding of current-state and future-state process mapping.
• Experience supporting solution design, system implementation, testing, and UAT.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or equivalent documentation and requirements-management platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in wealth management, investments, banking, or financial services.
• Experience with business process transformation and platform migration projects.
• Experience working with external vendors during discovery, requirements gathering, and implementation.
• Exposure to complex enterprise systems and regulated business environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree is an asset.

Ideal Candidate: A Senior Business Analyst with strong business-facing experience, excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills, and a proven background in requirements gathering, process mapping, vendor discovery, and business transformation or platform implementation projects within financial services. A deeply technical IT background is not mandatory.
