Senior Business Systems Analyst – QRM / Treasury / ALM
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: 4 days onsite
Contract: 1 year, with potential extension and conversion
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a major technology initiative involving QRM, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and Interest Rate Risk (IRR) within a large financial institution.
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to analyze current-state processes, gather and document requirements, support enterprise system implementation and integration, and translate complex business requirements into technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technology delivery, business analysis, data analysis, system integration, and financial risk/treasury domain expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to analyze current-state processes and define future-state solutions.
- Gather, analyze, document, communicate, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
- Support initiatives related to QRM, ALM, FTP, and IRR.
- Lead requirements workshops and facilitate discussions with business and technology teams.
- Develop detailed process flows, data flows, system architecture diagrams, and other solution-design artifacts.
- Translate business requirements and business rules into detailed technical requirements.
- Support QRM platform implementation and integration initiatives.
- Analyze system integrations, application architectures, data flows, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria using JIRA and Confluence.
- Support development, testing, implementation, and production delivery activities throughout the SDLC.
- Work with QA and testing teams to translate requirements into test scenarios, test conditions, and expected results.
- Participate in defect triage, validation, and requirements traceability activities.
- Analyze and reconcile large and complex datasets using SQL.
- Develop and maintain data lineage, data catalogs, source-to-target mappings, and integration specifications.
- Create governance, requirements, design, and control documentation to support transparency, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Identify risks, dependencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure technology solutions meet business objectives.
- Apply AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, productivity, and delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate across business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of Business Systems Analysis / technology delivery experience.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing, integrating, or supporting QRM or comparable Treasury/ALM platforms, OR significant experience delivering large-scale enterprise technology implementations within financial services, risk, treasury, or complex data environments.
- Strong understanding of QRM and Treasury/Risk Management processes.
- Experience with ALM, FTP and/or IRR.
- Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical requirements.
- Advanced SQL and data analysis skills, including experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Strong process modeling and diagramming capabilities, including:
- Data flow diagrams
- System architecture diagrams
- Business process maps
- Integration flows
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence for requirements management, Agile delivery, traceability, and documentation.
- Experience with system integration, APIs, databases, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with system testing, validation, and requirements traceability.
- Strong understanding of enterprise SDLC and technology delivery practices.
- Experience creating and maintaining requirements, governance, design, and technical artifacts.
- Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a Schedule 1 bank, GSIB, or major financial institution.

- Experience with Python, SQL, PowerShell, or other programming/scripting languages.

- 5+ years of Agile delivery experience.
- Agile or Project Management certification.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline.
