About the Role
We are seeking a Business Information Management Specialist IV / Data Analyst to join a project-based team supporting complex data initiatives within the financial services and banking environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical data management capabilities, advanced SQL and Python skills, and solid knowledge of banking products and Treasury domains. This role will focus on translating business requirements into practical data solutions, validating data and requirements, investigating complex data issues, and ensuring successful delivery of large-scale data initiatives.
The role offers an opportunity to work with a collaborative team on initiatives involving Treasury investments, hedging portfolios, financial products, and enterprise data flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the review and clarification of business and data requirements with internal stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into practical data solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Perform advanced data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, validation, and investigation using SQL and Python.
- Analyze enterprise datasets across data sourcing, onboarding, integration, lineage, and source-to-target mapping.
- Validate data mapping, transformation rules, controls, and reconciliation results.
- Investigate data quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and work with technology teams to resolve defects.
- Support modern cloud-based data platforms and end-to-end data flows, including data navigation within Databricks environments.
- Establish and execute disciplined testing practices for large-scale business and data initiatives.
- Develop test plans, test cases, requirements traceability, and test evidence.
- Coordinate test execution, defect triage, regression testing, and validation activities.
- Ensure requirements are properly implemented, tested, validated, and delivered.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to drive project execution and meet deadlines.
- Identify data and process issues and communicate findings clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
- Support Treasury and financial product data initiatives involving investment and hedging portfolios.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of advanced SQL experience involving data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, validation, and complex data investigation.
- 5+ years of Python experience for data analysis and data validation.
- 5+ years of experience in banking or financial services data initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience with banking products and Treasury domains, preferably involving investment products, Treasury investments, and/or hedging portfolios.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data management, including:
- Data sourcing
- Data onboarding
- Data integration
- Data lineage
- Source-to-target mapping
- Data transformation
- Data quality and reconciliation
- 5+ years of project testing experience, including test planning, test-case design, requirements traceability, execution, defect management, regression testing, and test evidence.
- Experience translating business requirements into data solutions.
- Ability to investigate complex data issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Additional Treasury product knowledge, including Liquidity and Capital.
- Experience with Databricks or modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with Treasury investment and hedging portfolios.
- Experience with data product modelling/modeling.
- Exposure to wholesale and/or retail banking businesses.
- Professional designation such as CFA, CPA, or FRM.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a quantitative discipline, such as:

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a data-focused professional with 5–7 years of experience in financial services, combining strong technical capabilities in SQL and Python with practical knowledge of Treasury and investment products.
They should be comfortable navigating complex enterprise datasets, validating requirements and data transformations, investigating data quality issues, and working closely with technology and business teams. Experience delivering large-scale data projects and applying structured testing practices is essential.
Strong communication, attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to consistently meet project deadlines are critical to success in this role.
