Job Summary
We are looking for an Architect-Level Java Full Stack Developer to join the Finance & Securitization (FNS) Team. The team is part of a Front Office business environment, working closely with bankers and various business and technology stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be a strong backend Java architect with hands-on full-stack development experience and a solid understanding of modern frontend technologies. Experience with AI/GenAI solutions and financial services applications is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across application design, development, integration, and deployment.
- Work closely with bankers, business users, product teams, and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead the design of backend services, APIs, microservices, and application architecture.
- Develop and maintain frontend applications using Angular or React.
- Design and optimize data solutions using Oracle and MongoDB.
- Drive application modernization, performance improvements, scalability, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to other developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Front Office / Financial Services environment.
- Evaluate and incorporate AI/GenAI capabilities into applications and business workflows where appropriate.
- Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for security, resiliency, performance, and maintainability.
Required Technical Skills
Backend
- Strong expertise in Java
- Spring / Spring Boot
- Microservices and REST APIs
- Object-oriented design and design patterns
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture
- Experience designing scalable and high-performance applications
Frontend
- Strong working knowledge of Angular OR React
- Ability to develop and integrate frontend applications with backend APIs
- Understanding of modern UI architecture and frontend best practices
Databases
- Oracle
- MongoDB
- Strong SQL and database design skills
- Experience with performance tuning and data modeling
AI / GenAI
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications is highly desirable
- Familiarity with LLMs, AI APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI-powered application development is a plus
Architecture & Leadership
- Architect-level experience in designing enterprise Java applications
- Ability to make technical architecture and technology decisions
- Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, cloud-native architecture, scalability, resiliency, and security
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Domain Experience
- Experience in Financial Services / Capital Markets / Banking is highly preferred.
- Experience working with Front Office teams, bankers, or financial business stakeholders is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Finance and Securitization processes is preferred.
