Job Title: L&D Designer/Developer III
Location: Toronto, ON (4 days onsite/week)
Contract: 12 Months (Extension/Conversion possible)
Our client is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Designer/Developer III to join a newly established team supporting Credit Risk and Banking Operations initiatives across Canada.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and the Manager, Learning Program Design to analyze learning needs, recommend effective solutions, and develop engaging learning experiences that support strategic business objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact national initiatives supporting teams across Markham, Ottawa, Edmonton, Montreal, and Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design & Learning Development
- Design high-quality blended learning and performance support solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Develop instructional frameworks, content maps, storyboards, scripts, prototypes, and learning materials.
- Create engaging learning solutions using:
- eLearning modules
- Simulations
- Performance support tools
- Interactive digital content
- Video-based learning assets
- Apply adult learning principles and industry best practices.
- Ensure accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion standards are incorporated into all learning solutions.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs.
- Lead project scoping, planning, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Present recommendations and learning strategies to senior leadership.
- Build strong relationships across multiple business groups and credit centers.
Project Management
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- Track project milestones and maintain learning management databases/tools.
- Deliver projects on schedule while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Provide status updates and proactively identify risks and issues.
Learning Strategy & Consulting
- Recommend optimal learning delivery methods, including:
- Instructor-led training
- Virtual learning
- Self-paced eLearning
- Hands-on training
- Performance support tools
- Develop evaluation and measurement plans to assess learning effectiveness.
- Maintain awareness of emerging learning technologies and industry trends.
Team Contributions
- Participate in knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives.
- Coach and support team members when appropriate.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
- Instructional Design
- Adult Education
- Educational Technology
- Related field
Experience
- 5–7 years of instructional design and learning development experience.
- Experience developing learning solutions for diverse audiences.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations and communication materials.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills
- MS Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Storyline 360
- Rise 360
- Powtoon or similar video-production tools
- eLearning development methodologies
- Learning evaluation and measurement techniques

Target Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 5+ years of instructional design experience.
- Be highly proficient with Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
- Have experience designing blended learning programs from concept through implementation.
- Be comfortable presenting to senior leaders and executives.
- Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement and project management abilities.
- Be able to independently manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferably possess experience within banking or financial services environments.
