Position Title: Site Reliability Specialist

Contract Duration: 12 months

Conversion to Permanent: Possible

Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days per week in office

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, secure, administer, and support enterprise Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Azure Databricks platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering and platform-focused role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing cloud environments throughout their lifecycle, including design, deployment, automation, security, troubleshooting, optimization, and operational support.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Azure IaaS, Windows and Linux environments, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps automation, and Azure Databricks.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

• Appetite for contributing within a complex and critical environment

• Experience deploying, managing, and operating complex applications in a Cloud environment e.g. Azure

• Understanding of shell script, PowerShell, Python, and the ability to code for automation

• Understanding of critical concepts in DevOps (CI, CD, CM, IaC etc.) and Agile principles

• Readiness and motivation (as senior or lead developer and valued subject matter expert) to address and resolve highly complex and multifaceted development-related issues, often independently.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

• Experience in infrastructure, services and application monitoring and logging

• Configuring and managing big data technologies / databases and understanding of various approaches to data storage and indexing is an asset

Must-have:

o Cloud experience e.g. Azure Services including IaaS, IaC, ASP

o Databricks experience

o Configuration management tools e.g. SALT, terraform, Ansible or CHEF

o Development/Engineering experience e.g. Powershell, Bash, Shell, Python

o Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket, Nexus or similar toolsets
