About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master II to lead 2–3 Agile teams of approximately 8–10 members supporting an important value creation initiative.
The Scrum Master will champion Agile and Scaled Agile practices, help teams achieve predictable delivery, remove impediments, and foster a strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for an experienced Scrum Master who has worked in complex, scaled software development environments and is comfortable working across teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders. The successful candidate will be a servant leader who can influence without direct authority and help teams continuously improve their delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support 2–3 Agile/Scrum teams through planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Champion Agile and Scaled Agile principles and practices across teams.
- Facilitate and coordinate Agile ceremonies, including:
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint planning
- Sprint reviews
- Retrospectives
- Backlog refinement
- Scrum of Scrums
- Other scaled Agile ceremonies
- Protect Agile teams from distractions and ensure work is visible, prioritized, and properly represented in the Product Backlog.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments that could prevent teams from achieving their commitments.
- Engage appropriate stakeholders to resolve dependencies, risks, and delivery blockers.
- Coordinate across teams to identify dependencies and support predictable delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement and act as a change agent to improve productivity and Agile maturity.
- Encourage teams to identify opportunities to support one another and improve flow.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Ensure teams maintain appropriate Work In Progress (WIP) limits and focus on completing work rather than starting excessive work.
- Help teams establish predictable delivery patterns and improve flow.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and practical advice on Agile and Scaled Agile best practices.
- Use Jira to manage Agile workflows, backlogs, sprint activities, metrics, and delivery information.
- Ensure Agile processes, assessments, and required information are accurate and up to date.
- Work with Product Owners, technology partners, control partners, senior leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Identify and communicate risks, particularly items on the critical path that could impact major milestones.
- Use Agile metrics and flow analysis to assess team and program health.
- Promote continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and external Agile best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Agile experience, with significant experience working as a Scrum Master.
- 5+ years of experience working within software development environments.
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in a Scaled Agile environment.
- Experience leading multiple Agile/Scrum teams simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of Scaled Agile concepts, ceremonies, and practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Agile management tools.
- Experience working in complex software development, product, enterprise transformation, or similar environments.
- Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong servant-leadership mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Ability to identify and manage impediments, risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
- Data-driven approach to Agile delivery, including familiarity with flow metrics and team health indicators.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and complex environments.
- Post-secondary education.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Scrum certification.
- SAFe certification or experience working within a SAFe environment.
- Experience with Kanban or other Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience with Systems Thinking or Design Thinking.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Experience with DevOps and continuous delivery environments.
- Experience supporting change management or organizational agility transformations.
- Experience working outside traditional financial services environments within software/product organizations.

Team Structure
You will lead 2–3 Scrum teams with approximately 8–10 team members, working within a broader Scaled Agile environment. The role requires close collaboration across technology, product, business, and control functions.
