Senior Frontend Developer – React
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer with strong expertise in React and modern JavaScript to build high-performance, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UI architecture, component-based development, and user experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with backend engineers and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, reusable UI components using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.
- Build scalable frontend applications with a focus on performance, maintainability, and usability.
- Apply modern frontend design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend microservices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize UI performance.
- Write unit and component tests and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and TypeScript.
- Experience building reusable, component-based UI architectures.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and frontend/backend integration.
- Experience with frontend testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Angular, Node.js, RxJS, and TypeScript.
- Exposure to Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience developing enterprise-scale financial applications.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
