Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Architect V to join the Network Services team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure architecture frameworks that support the organization's business and technology strategies.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience designing and implementing on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, infrastructure architecture, operating systems, databases, storage, networking, and security is essential.

This individual will collaborate with technology teams, security partners, and business stakeholders to develop scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective architecture solutions while ensuring compliance with enterprise technology standards and architectural frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure architecture frameworks, technology domain strategies, policies, guiding principles, and standards.
• Architect and recommend optimal infrastructure solutions across on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to identify scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective architecture solutions.
• Apply Azure expertise and Microsoft technology stack knowledge to design infrastructure solutions that meet business and security requirements.
• Evaluate technology versions, compatibility, dependencies, and capabilities to ensure effective integration across applications and infrastructure platforms.
• Collaborate with technology partners and security teams to assess risks, validate security requirements, and approve solution security designs.
• Review and approve detailed solution architectures to ensure compliance with enterprise standards, reference architectures, security policies, and established design patterns.
• Support infrastructure projects and corporate space initiatives, contributing to project planning, resource coordination, scope estimation, cost analysis, and delivery timelines.
• Participate as a subject matter expert on projects involving moderate to high levels of risk and complexity.
• Develop and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices to ensure end-to-end alignment between business requirements, technical designs, and delivered solutions.
• Facilitate collaboration and decision-making across technology teams and business units to align solutions with enterprise architecture strategy.
• Support automated infrastructure deployment through Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, and related infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Conduct pre- and post-implementation architecture reviews to validate solution outcomes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to technology standards, architecture governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform technical risk assessments and establish parameters for ongoing technology investment decisions.
• Maintain architecture documentation and follow established technology delivery, project management, and governance practices.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, including substantial experience in infrastructure architecture and enterprise solution design.
• Strong experience designing and implementing on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and a solid understanding of cloud architecture principles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technology stacks, platform compatibility, version dependencies, and infrastructure integration.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of application platforms and frameworks, including:
• JBoss
• Node.js
• Spring Boot
• Experience with database technologies, including:
• Oracle RAC
• OCaC
• Microsoft SQL Server
• MongoDB
• Cassandra
• Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, DAS, and NAS.
• Knowledge of networking technologies and infrastructure services, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and CDN technologies.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, security architecture, risk assessment, and enterprise security standards.
• Experience developing architecture documentation, technical standards, design patterns, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical architecture recommendations.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.
• Relevant post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Previous experience working with Bank, particularly in Solution Architecture or Infrastructure Architecture.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning tools.
• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
