PURPOSE:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the management of Work Requests. Reporting to the Manager, the Project Coordinator will assist with day-to-day operations, including scheduling and budget management; compiling progress and cost information; working with the client and consultant representatives; procurement and coordinating work of and recruitment of subcontractors and Dexterra own forces to oversee site operatives; monitoring job progress; and reviewing safety and quality control procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support to the Account Director regarding all Facility related issues including coordination of project paperwork, tendering coordination and support, purchase orders.
Ensure sites are run safely with emergency and occupational safety plans, notice of projects, utility locates, traffic plans etc.
Track submissions and responses for clarity, completeness and timeliness.
Assist in project leadership, scheduling and expediting materials and sub trades on projects up to $600,000 in value.
Successfully oversee special projects management with accumulated value averaging up to $3,000,000 annually.
Monitor and provide feedback on sub trade performance.
Prepares deficiency list and monitors corrections. Assists in the coordination of deficiency corrections.
Prepares correspondence and summary project documentation for Clients and/or Contract Representative.
Accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing as required on a project basis..
Other executive and administrative duties as required.
Other special duties as assigned in support of Dexterra business plans

Qualifications

Degree or College Diploma in Engineering or Construction/Facilities or Project Management and/or related years of experience combined with post-secondary education
Ability to maintain Security Clearance at National Defence Sites is a requirement (minimum 5 years as Canadian Resident)
Scheduling & Planning, estimating projects and facilities operations
Ability to read Blueprints & specifications
Experience with commercial buildings, HVAC, mechanical is an asset
Well-developed oral and written communication skills
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, CMMS software
Ability to work as a team player

DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

Le coordonnateur de projet est responsable d’appuyer la gestion des demandes de travaux. Relevant du gestionnaire, le coordonnateur de projet contribue aux opérations quotidiennes, notamment à la planification et à la gestion des budgets, à la compilation des données d’avancement et de coûts, à la collaboration avec les représentants du client et des consultants, à l’approvisionnement ainsi qu’à la coordination des travaux et au recrutement des sous‑traitants et des équipes internes de Dexterra afin de superviser les opérations sur le site. Il assure également le suivi de l’avancement des travaux et la révision des procédures de santé, de sécurité et de contrôle de la qualité.

RESPONSABILITÉS :

Fournir un soutien au directeur de compte pour toutes les questions liées aux installations, incluant la coordination de la documentation de projet, la coordination et le soutien aux appels d’offres, ainsi que la gestion des bons de commande.
S’assurer que les sites sont exploités de façon sécuritaire, avec des plans d’urgence et de santé et sécurité au travail en place, incluant les avis de projets, les localisations de services publics, les plans de circulation, etc.
Assurer le suivi des soumissions et des réponses afin d’en garantir la clarté, l’exhaustivité et le respect des échéanciers.
Appuyer le leadership de projet, la planification et l’accélération de l’approvisionnement en matériaux et de la mobilisation des sous‑traitants pour des projets d’une valeur allant jusqu’à 600 000 $.
Superviser avec succès la gestion de projets spéciaux dont la valeur cumulée moyenne peut atteindre jusqu’à 3 000 000 $ annuellement.
Surveiller la performance des sous‑traitants et fournir une rétroaction appropriée.
Préparer les listes de déficiences et assurer le suivi des corrections; appuyer la coordination des travaux correctifs.
Préparer la correspondance et la documentation sommaire des projets à l’intention des clients et/ou des représentants contractuels.
Gérer les comptes fournisseurs, les comptes clients et la facturation, selon les exigences propres à chaque projet.
Exécuter toute autre tâche exécutive ou administrative requise.
Assumer toute autre responsabilité spéciale assignée à l’appui des plans d’affaires de Dexterra.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Diplôme universitaire ou collégial en ingénierie, en construction/gestion des installations ou en gestion de projet, et/ou combinaison d’années d’expérience pertinente jumelée à des études postsecondaires.
Capacité à maintenir une cote de sécurité pour les sites de la Défense nationale (minimum de 5 ans comme résident canadien requis).
Compétences en planification et ordonnancement, estimation de projets et opérations des installations.
Capacité à lire et interpréter des plans et devis.
Expérience en bâtiments commerciaux; connaissances en CVCA et en mécanique constituent un atout.
Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite.
Solides compétences informatiques, incluant Microsoft Word, Excel et les logiciels de GMAO.
Capacité à travailler efficacement en équipe.
Capacité à travailler de façon autonome.
Capacité à travailler selon des horaires flexibles, incluant possiblement les fins de semaine.
Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles requises.
Capacité physique à marcher, se pencher, s’accroupir, s’équilibrer, ramper et atteindre des objets pendant de longues périodes.
Doit être à l’aise et capable de travailler sur une échelle, en hauteur, à l’aide de plateformes élévatrices et sur des toits.
