Shipping Support

Dick's Lumber is looking for Shipping Support for our Doorplant in the Port Kells, Surrey, British Columbia location!

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Assists with material handling, packaging, and shipment preparation as required.
• Loads and unloads trucks by hand and or by using a pallet jack or forklift.
• Operates a forklift to move products inside and outside the warehouse
• Bands various skids and packages to ensure secure storage and transportation.
• Shrink wraps skids and products both manually and using shrink-wrap machine.
• Pulls and prepares orders checking tallies for accuracy.
• Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse as required.
• Adheres to company safe working procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Forklift and or Narrow Aisle Reach certification/experience is an asset.
• Manual dexterity to operate the forklifts in tight areas.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Ability to perform with accuracy in a high level, fast paced, demanding, noisy work environment.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Professional, courteous and punctual with a focus on order accuracy and customer service.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic functional math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply or divide without the function of a calculator.
• Some computer skills would be helpful.
• Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.

Wage: $23.00-$24.99 per hour
