Role Description The Full Stack Developer is a full-time hybrid role based in Montréal, QC, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web applications that support difuze’s media and localization services. The developer will collaborate closely with product, operations, and QA teams to gather requirements, implement new features, and optimize performance and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, scalable code, integrating APIs and third-party services, resolving technical issues, and contributing to code reviews and documentation. The role also includes improving existing systems, enhancing user experience, and ensuring solutions remain secure, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, with experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including server-side languages, frameworks, and databases for scalable, secure APIs and services.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to write clean, testable code, with familiarity in unit, integration, or end-to-end testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams in English (French an asset).
- Relevant post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in media, localization, or SaaS platforms is an asset.
