Original job description
Dig Insights is an innovation intelligence company that helps brands find the next sources of growth for their business, and predict which opportunities are most likely to be successful. We’ve been around for 16+ years, and we’ve taken our expertise in innovation insights and turned it into a technology-driven, predictive model for consumer brands.
Our clients span verticals including CPG, QSR, retail, technology, financial services, and telecommunications. Our work is led by a team of over 250 strategists, insights consultants, developers, and data scientists. We work for a global client base out of offices in Toronto, Chicago, London, and Singapore.
Since we started in 2010, we’ve been focused on setting a new standard for the insights industry – challenging the traditional model and building for what comes next. That means hiring people who are bright, creative, resourceful, and kind. People who succeed at Dig are curious, question established norms and are passionate about helping our clients to move their businesses forward. If you want to join a team that takes themselves just seriously enough to produce great work, we’d love to welcome you.
As we continue to grow, both geographically and in our expertise, we are looking for people who want to join a high-growth and highly collaborative company.
About this role
We're looking for a highly organized, strategic marketer to own our account-based marketing and paid digital programs end-to-end. As Manager, ABM & Paid Digital, you'll be the connector between our marketing team, our sales organization, and our external paid media agency. You'll set the direction for how we use paid channels to drive brand awareness and engagement with priority accounts, then make sure it gets executed well, on time, and with measurable impact on pipeline.
In this role, you will own the relationship with our external agency partner, including briefing, prioritization, and timelines, while holding both internal and agency teams accountable to deliverables. You will manage the end-to-end project flow of ABM campaigns, from kickoff and creative briefs through launch, optimization, and wrap-up, and project manage the ABM and paid digital strategy, including target account tiers, segmentation, and campaign sequencing. Working with the agency, you will set ABM goals tied to account warmth, pipeline, and revenue targets, and you will coordinate with content and subject matter experts to ensure campaigns are supported by relevant messaging and assets. You will also partner with marketing operations on lifecycle programs, segmentation, lead flow, and data integrity so that ABM activity connects cleanly to the funnel.
This is a role for someone who thrives on the strategic side of ABM: turning strategy into briefs, timelines, and deliverables across many moving parts, then closing the loop with clear reporting on what worked. You'll work closely with sales leadership, content, marketing operations, and our agency partner, and report into the SVP, Marketing & Brand Strategy.
Primary responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
ABM & Paid Digital Strategy
- Run the ABM and paid digital strategy, aligned to business goals and sales priorities.
- Align target account tiers with the right level of investment and personalization for each.
- Maintain the target account list in collaboration with commercial leadership.
- Balance ABM and brand awareness investment, and make recommendations on budget allocation and channel mix.
- Monitor the lifecycle, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and conversion across the account journey.
Agency & Program Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our external paid media and ABM agency, managing day-to-day communication.
- Write clear briefs, define inputs and targeting requirements, and manage timelines across internal teams and agency partners.
- Review agency work and performance, give direction, and hold partners accountable to agreed deliverables and outcomes.
- Run the operating rhythm for ABM programs: kickoffs, status check-ins, retrospectives, and planning cycles.
- Act as a continuous feedback loop, bringing sales and BD learnings together with campaign and content output.
Measurement, Reporting & Insights
- Monitor KPIs for ABM, paid digital, and lifecycle effectiveness.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that show marketing's impact on pipeline and account engagement.
- Analyze campaign and account-level data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
- Translate performance into clear recommendations, to be presented to commercial leaders.
- Work with commercial operations to ensure accurate tracking and campaign data integrity.
Lifecyle Marketing
- Partner with commercial operations on lead scoring, lifecycle stages, segmentation, and nurture programs so they align with ABM priorities.
- Provide input on lifecycle strategy and sequencing for priority accounts and segments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with commercial leadership on account targeting, handoff, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with content, design, and internal SMEs to ensure smooth campaign execution.
Experience, skills, and requirements
- You have 4–5 years of experience in B2B marketing, with hands-on ABM, paid digital, demand generation, or lifecycle marketing experience.
- You've managed external agency relationships and know how to brief, direct, and hold partners accountable.
- You're an exceptional project manager who stays organized across many concurrent campaigns, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- You're comfortable with data and can turn campaign performance into clear insights and recommendations for senior audiences.
- You've worked with marketing automation and CRM platforms like HubSpot, Propensity, Clay, or Salesforce.
- You're proactive, collaborative, and confident working with sales leadership.
- Bonus: experience with ABM platforms, paid social and programmatic advertising, or building pipeline-focused dashboards.
Work Perks:
- A hybrid-remote work environment, where employees have the flexibility to work remotely or from one of our offices
- Unlimited vacation policy
- Reimbursement for health and wellness classes/memberships and continuous learning
- RRSP / 401K employer matching program
- Offices in Toronto and Chicago, located steps to public transportation in the downtown core
- Regular social events such as charity poker nights, trivia events, team building days, and more!
