Original job description

Who We Are

Not just built for today. Building for tomorrow.

DIRTT is a global leader in industrialized construction. Our system of physical products and digital tools empowers organizations - alongside construction and design leaders - to build high-performing, adaptable interior environments.

Operating across workplace, healthcare, education, and public sector markets, DIRTT provides total design freedom and greater certainty in cost, schedule, and outcomes.

We are a highly motivated group of individuals who embrace the company’s entrepreneurial spirit. Everyone is hands-on, regardless of role. We celebrate our successes together, work hard, have fun, and treat one another with respect.

Who You Are

As a Manufacturing Team Member in Metal Shop, you will support production by assembling metal components and preparing materials to meet quality and efficiency standards. Working with tools and equipment, you will ensure accurate assembly, maintain a safe workspace, and contribute to meeting production targets. You are results-driven, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Candidates must be available to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (4 days on, 4 days off).

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to efficiently build high-quality metal products
Inspect components and finished goods, identifying defects and addressing them in accordance with quality standards
Read and interpret basic diagrams, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to ensure accurate assembly
Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise to maintain production flow
Perform work in compliance with all safety procedures and quality requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, consistently using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Take precise measurements to ensure proper fit and alignment of components
Report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or defective parts promptly
Demonstrate strong manual dexterity and the ability to remain active throughout the shift
Communicate effectively and manage time and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Utilize basic computer skills for reporting and production tracking as needed
Additional duties may be assigned that are reasonably related to the role. Responsibilities may be adjusted or reprioritized in response to evolving business needs, technology, and organizational priorities, while maintaining alignment with the overall scope, purpose, and responsibilities of the position.

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related production environment is an asset.
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
Comfortable using hand tools, measuring tools, and basic production equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Physically able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift materials as required.
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of PPE.
Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis

What’s In It for You

A competitive base salary plus a quarterly Plant Incentive (bonus) Program.
Eligibility to participate in DIRTT’s Employee Share Purchase Plan.
Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Mental health support, including access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).
Continental breakfast, coffee, tea, soda, daily hot cafeteria lunch, and snacks to keep you energized.
A thorough and supportive onboarding program designed to set you up for success.

Equal Opportunity & Hiring Information

DIRTT Environmental Solutions is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplace. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

DIRTT is committed to providing reasonable accommodation throughout the recruitment process. If you require an accommodation, please let us know.

Roles at DIRTT are safety sensitive. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing may be required. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check, where permitted by law. This will be conducted through a trusted third-party provider after a conditional offer has been accepted.
