Who You Are

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of DIRTT’s product portfolio ensuring strong product direction, clear accountability, and alignment to business priorities.

This leader will translate market insights and Voice of Customer (VOC) into actionable product solutions and roadmaps. Then guide delivery through NPI and continuously improve product outcomes. The Sr. Product Manager works closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing and Marketing. The role balances hands-on product decision-making with desirability, feasibility, and viability to ultimately develop creative solutions to solve customer problems that strategically support the management of a complex product portfolio.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Category Ownership

Own and evolve the product vision and strategy aligned to DIRTT’s business objectives and market direction.
Ensure product investments balance innovation, platform sustainability, and lifecycle needs.
Represent the category as the primary product point of accountability across the organization.
Additional duties may be assigned that are reasonably related to the role. Responsibilities may be adjusted or reprioritized in response to evolving business needs, technology, and organizational priorities, while maintaining alignment with the overall scope, purpose, and responsibilities of the position.

Roadmap & Portfolio Management

Lead the development and maintenance of category roadmaps, ensuring priorities, sequencing, and dependencies are clear and achievable.

Align roadmap decisions with capacity, commercial needs, and customer value.
Coordinate across related product areas to ensure cohesive system-level outcomes.
Establish consistent product practices including discovery, requirements definition, backlog quality, and release readiness.

Cross-Functional Execution

Partner with Engineering, Design, Quality, and Operations to guide products through the full NPI phase gate process and product lifecycle.
Drive alignment on scope, priorities, and tradeoffs; address risks and delivery challenges proactively.
Serve as an escalation point for product decisions within the category.

Release Planning & NPI

Provide category-level oversight for New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
Ensure releases are well-defined, properly sequenced, and delivered with quality and predictability.

Customer, Market & Competitive Insight

Guide teams in gathering and applying customer feedback, usage data, and market insights to inform decisions.
Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive offerings relevant to existing and future products, services and solutions.

Metrics, Risk & Lifecycle Management

Define and review key product performance metrics for the category.
Identify and manage risks related to delivery, quality, and market fit.
Lead End-of-Life (EoL) planning in coordination with the EoL council.

Management of Change (MOC)

Own Management of Change (MOC) initiatives within the product line, ensuring required work is completed effectively and on time.

Product Evangelism

Clearly communicate product direction, value, and roadmap intent to internal teams and external partners.
Support sales and marketing through product education and enablement.

Requirements and qualifications

3–7 years of successful development and launching commercial physical products to market.
Degree: Business, Design Engineering, or an MBA transition.
Strong grasp of pricing strategies, market positioning, and financial modeling (ROI, margins).
Competent at managing cross-functional launch plans (Design, Sales, Marketing, Legal).
Owns a standalone product or major product variant.
Translates customer discovery and market gaps into high-level Product Requirement Documents and multi-quarter roadmaps.
