Purpose
The successful applicant must be competent in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Surface mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting, installing, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on surface stationary equipment. IE: pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, compressors, rock breakers.
- Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and PGM Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards.
- Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department.
- Must be highly motivated, organized and must be capable of decision-making.
- Responsible for providing own tools.
- Must be able to work with a team or alone as required.
- Assisting in other works areas may be required.
- working towards a Licensed as a Industrial Mechanic-Millwright required
- Good knowledge of compressors, pumps and hoisting plant including conveyance, pumps, crushers, compressors, mills, agitators, piping and hydraulic system such as rock breaking system.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of trade experience
- Related experience in the Mining or Manufacturing Industry
- Computer skills, knowledge of Windows Software, Excel, Word, and Outlook
