Mobile Response Coordinator
This is a Full-Time Temporary position on a 6-month contract, starting as soon as possible.
Location & Hours
Work location: On-site at SORCe (1944 10 Ave SW), as part of the Coordinated Entry Program.
Hours: Generally, Monday to Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required.

What to Expect
The Mobile Response Coordinator reports to a Coordinated Entry Program (CEP) Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating access and response within the CEP at Safe Communities Opportunity and Resource Centre (SORCe). As the first point of contact for the Coordinated Access and Assessment (CAA) housing check-in line and CAA Mobile requests from community and system partners, you will play a key role in connecting people to the right supports at the right time.
Working closely with the CEP team and agency partners across health, justice, treatment, primary care, and domestic violence services, you will help coordinate timely responses for individuals experiencing housing instability. This role is ideal for someone who thinks quickly under pressure, stays organized, and is committed to helping people move toward long-term housing stability.

CAA Access, Triage and Service Coordination
- Manage the CAA housing check-in line and CAA Mobile requests from community and system partners
- Handle check-ins and brief updates directly to keep housing profiles active and supported
- Assess the urgency of each request and determine the right level of support
- Schedule new CAA entries, profile updates, and complex navigation needs
Collaborative Case Planning and Specialized Navigation
- Consult with referring professionals when a request may not meet CAA Housing eligibility
- Identify other CEP supports that can help stabilize someone's housing
- Coordinate specialized navigation responses with internal teams and partners
Frontline Service Delivery and Crisis Response
- Provide navigation, assessment, and referral on the floor when extra coverage is needed
- Support participants with housing planning
- Respond calmly and appropriately to crisis situations as they arise
Program Data, Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Keep CAA profiles, referrals, service records, and schedules accurate and current
- Track follow-ups and workflow to keep service timely and consistent
- Suggest process improvements that strengthen program and service delivery
What You Bring
- Undergraduate degree in a human services-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 to 4 years of coordination or operational experience in a social service or related environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including homelessness, mental health, substance use, and family violence.
- Knowledge of homelessness support services and of Coordinated Entry and Coordinated Access systems and principles.
- Proven interpersonal and cultural competency skills to work effectively and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including Indigenous communities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style across audiences.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to stay steady through unexpected changes, technology challenges, and crisis situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and participant data management systems such as HMIS or equivalent.
Additional Employment Requirements
As a condition of employment, all successful candidates are required to complete and maintain a Police Information Check. For those in direct service user-facing roles, a Vulnerable Sector Search is also required.
