Our workforce of more than 1500 staff is our greatest asset and we strive to attract and retain the best talent to provide excellent services to our citizens.
If you are excited by transportation operations, active transportation, practical project delivery, customer service excellence and technical design using Autodesk Civil 3D, this is a hands-on role where you will help turn concepts into constructed infrastructure that residents use every day.
We are seeking candidates for one position on our Transportation and Development Services team in our Planning and Operations Division:

This includes investigating service requests and transportation concerns, collecting and analyzing traffic and collision data, conducting field reviews, and evaluating operational and safety issues. The position develops and recommends transportation improvements and prepares traffic control and transportation engineering designs using Civil 3D. This role supports the delivery of operational improvement programs including traffic calming, speed management, neighbourhood bikeways, street lighting, and the installation and modification of traffic control devices, such as signage, pavement markings, and traffic signals. The position also reviews development applications and Traffic Impact Assessments, providing technical transportation engineering expertise to align with Saanich’s transportation planning initiatives.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
