Original job description

Are you passionate about delivering accessible, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed therapy? Are you excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of mental healthcare while making a meaningful impact in people's lives?

If you're still reading, there's a good chance we'd love to meet you. Hi! We're DiveThru. Through our in-person studios and online platform, we provide mental health support, designed with today’s generation in mind. Our services include therapy and psychological assessments. We also partner with organizations to make mental health support more accessible for their teams.

As a mental health technology company, we've built our own electronic health record and client platform to create a more connected therapy experience. From matching with a therapist and managing appointments to accessing resources and tracking progress, every part of the client journey is designed to work together - helping therapists spend less time navigating systems and more time focused on client care.

We’re looking for Registered Psychologists that work with children and teens to join our DiveThru Crew!

Ready to join us? Okay, let’s talk about the official stuff:

Here’s What You’ll Get By Joining Our Team:

Flexible scheduling with daytime, evening, and weekend availability, so you choose the hours that fit your life
Full-time administrative team to handle your bookings, payments, and forms - just show up!
Full-time marketing team dedicated to filling your schedule
Reimbursement for your personal health and dental plan
Regular case consultations, professional development, and team bonding opportunities
Milestone appreciation program that rewards you for your tenure with us through increases to your split
An organization that prioritizes team culture and community
Opportunity to create and facilitate community workshops for additional income
Work in a beautifully furnished, welcoming, and modern studio with parking

Your General Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based, culturally responsive and trauma-informed counselling to populations you are specialized and interested in working with (e.g. children, teens, adults, couples, families, group)
Integrate DiveThru app features (e.g. booking portal, clinically validated measures, entering tasks to work on outside of session). Training will be provided
Do your best to attend team meetings, case consultations and professional development sessions as part of a collaborative work environment and to strive for quality care
Commitment to DiveThru’s clinical values: providing person-centred care, demonstrating cultural humility, adopting a feedback-informed approach, and showing compassion and empathy in your interactions

Your Skills

Our ideal candidate brings the following to the table:

Clinical training in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, SFBT, ACT, EMDR, EFT, ERP, Gottman method, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong understanding and adherence to professional ethics
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education

Required

Experience providing individual therapy to children, teens and/or adults. Experience providing couples, family and/or group therapy is an asset
Registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
Professional liability insurance, including cyber liability
Completed a Masters or Doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or School and Clinical Child Psychology

Salary

The rate of this contract will be $141 per session.

What populations are you interested in counselling and what is your approach to counselling?
What’s your availability? Note that our therapists are required to work a minimum of 1 shift per week in-person at one of our 4 locations (Whyte Ave, Central Edmonton, St. Albert or Windermere).

Our Recruitment Process

We Believe Transparency Is Key! If You’re Contacted In Consideration For This Position, Here’s What You Can Expect From Our Recruitment Process

Introductory Interview: A one-on-one virtual interview with our People & Culture team to get to know each other: your background and approach, and what DiveThru is all about.
Clinical Assessment: A scenario-based exercise that you will submit to us, followed by a live virtual debrief with our clinical leadership team.
Final Interview: A conversation with our studio leadership team about day-to-day logistics like scheduling, caseload, and working with our team.
