The Toronto office of DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is looking for a talented mid-level associate with 3-6 years of experience in employment and labour law. The successful candidate will work on a variety of employment and labour matters for our clients, supported by a busy and talented team. You will be a self starter who is looking to apply strong and proven legal skills in our collegial and high functioning group. You will be a proven team-player who enjoys collaborating with others, but who is also comfortable running with a file.

Specifically, the successful candidate's skills and experience will include:

Generally working independently on a multitude of tasks involved in employment matters with minimal supervision, and progressing files in a timely manner;
Strong attention to detail and outstanding writing skills; and
Excellent client communication skills, ideally having worked with market leaders in a variety of industries.

You will contribute to a complex mix of employment and labour work and will continue to expand your skills across the full spectrum of workplace issues, including restructurings, executive employment matters, human rights, occupational health and safety, regulatory compliance, and employment litigation, as well as labour relations and collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, and grievance arbitrations.
