As an Insurance Administrator, you can expect to work collaboratively with a team on validation for acceptance insurance documents, update the insurance policy details and managing the administration of insurance policy cancellations and claims. You will be ensuring that all policy documentation is accurately completed based on the set acceptance criteria, updated when required, consistent with credit and legal requirements. Responsible for exercising adherence to: credit and matrix authorizations, system rules, and corporate policies to ensure the accurate completion of validations and updates while meeting customer expected turnaround-timing commitments.

Day to day
This position is responsible for supporting the Portfolio Services Department in insurance administrative responsibilities. This is a hybrid position and requires customer contact.
- Transaction Processing: Handle insurance-related inquiries, fee quotes, account status requests, and coverage inclusions/exclusions. Process insurance correspondence (mail, email, and fax), identify applicable contracts, review documentation, and enter all pertinent insurance information into the database.
- Documentation & Compliance: Verify proof of insurance, update customer records, manage internal and external claims, prepare and issue insurance-related correspondence including request and cancellation letters, and ensure compliance with insurance requirements, payment terms, and contract details.
- Customer Communication: Respond to insurance inquiries and resolve coverage issues by communicating with customers, insurance brokers, agents, dealers, and vendors. Provide guidance on insurance requirements, policy deficiencies, documentation needs, and negotiate fees within established guidelines while maintaining positive business relationships.
- Claims Management: Administer and track internal and external insurance claims, ensure timely collection and review of supporting documentation, liaise with customers, insurers, adjusters, and internal stakeholders, monitor claim progress, and facilitate claim resolution while protecting company interests.
- Process Management: Monitor assigned portfolios to ensure insurance requirements are met, follow up with customers for required documentation, obtain liability insurance on identified risk portfolios, administer force-placed insurance where necessary, and ensure contract interests remain protected through policy renewals or placement on the company insurance program.
- Cross-Team/Department Coordination: Liaise with Credit, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to support insurance compliance, claims management, contract updates, and the resolution of insurance coverage issues.
- Performance & Policy Adherence: Meet established service levels and performance targets (KPIs/SLAs), adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain accurate records
- Additional Support: Contribute to special projects, departmental initiatives, claims-related activities, and provide backup support as required.

Essentials:
- Bilingual (French) required.
- Customer service experience an asset
- 1-3 years of insurance and/or leasing experience an asset
- Experience in Operations function (preferably in leasing or financing industry) is an asset

$52,323.00 - $78,485.00
Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
