This individual will focus on building a high-performance sales culture rooted in planning, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Regional General Manager and other cross-functional leaders, the Regional Sales Manager will provide market insights, sales forecasting, and strategic direction to ensure alignment between customer needs and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Development

Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability measures.
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and performance reviews.
Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture centered around continuous improvement.
Plan and facilitate regional sales meetings, training initiatives, and professional development programs.

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
Identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, and increased customer penetration.
Support the sales team in territory planning, opportunity management, and strategic account development.
Build and execute key account plans for major customers and strategic partners.
Enhance existing sales processes and implement best practices to improve effectiveness and consistency.

Customer & Market Development

Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with builders, contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders.
Ensure customers receive exceptional service and value throughout every stage of the sales and supply process.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities to inform regional strategies.
Represent the organization within the industry and strengthen the company's market presence throughout BC.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Regional General Managers to align sales initiatives with operational capabilities and business priorities.
Participate in annual budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation discussions.
Collaborate with operations, customer service, marketing, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Work alongside other Regional Sales Managers and national leadership teams to evolve sales structures, tools, and best practices across the organization.

Sales Operations & Reporting

Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide regular reporting on regional performance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Utilize and assist with implementing CRM systems and reporting tools to improve pipeline visibility, opportunity management, and team productivity.
Provide ongoing market intelligence and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven success in a sales leadership role with responsibility for managing and developing sales teams.
Demonstrated experience implementing structured sales processes, coaching methodologies, and performance management practices.
Strong strategic planning and business development capabilities.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
Experience within the building materials, construction, manufacturing, or distribution sectors is considered a strong asset.
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Willingness and ability to travel throughout BC as required.

The Ideal Candidate

We're seeking a hands-on sales leader who thrives on developing people and building winning sales cultures. They are passionate about coaching and accountability, understand the importance of process and planning, and know how to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.

They are relationship-driven, commercially minded, and motivated by helping both their team and their customers succeed over the long term.

What Our Client Offers

Opportunity to lead and influence sales strategy across an entire province.
Join a respected organization with a strong reputation in the building materials industry.
Collaborative leadership team and supportive operational infrastructure.
Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance incentives, vehicle allowance, benefits, and a pension program.
