SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Location: Greater Toronto Area West, Ontario

Industry Segment: Commercial Flooring

Compensation: $90-95K+ base salary + on target earnings, uncapped commission, company vehicle, expense card, extended benefits, RRSP

About Our Client

Our client is an established building products company offering innovative flooring and surface solutions for commercial and residential environments. With a focus on design, performance, and sustainability, the company partners with industry professionals to bring high-quality materials to a wide range of spaces, including workplaces, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, and multi-residential developments.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, customer-focused organization where strong relationships, product knowledge, and a solutions-oriented approach are central to success.

About The Role

Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys connecting great products with great projects?

As Sales Representative, you will develop new business and strengthen relationships with architects, interior designers, end-users, contractors, and other key industry partners across the western Greater Toronto Area. You will promote commercial flooring and surface solutions, helping clients identify products that meet their design, performance, and project requirements.

This role combines business development, relationship management, and industry engagement. You will build a strong network across the architecture and design community, deliver engaging product presentations, identify upcoming projects, and turn opportunities into specifications and sales. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams to support customers throughout the project lifecycle, from product selection through installation and after-sales service.

Our Client is looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, and motivated by results - someone who enjoys being out in the market, building trust, uncovering opportunities, and contributing to business growth.

Business Development & Market Growth

Build and grow relationships with architects, interior designers, end-users, contractors, and other industry stakeholders to generate product specifications and sales opportunities.
Deliver engaging product presentations, educational sessions, and industry-focused marketing initiatives tailored to design and commercial audiences.
Develop relationships with general contractors and subcontractors to support product selection and specifications through project delivery.
Proactively identify upcoming projects, develop a strong sales pipeline, and use available industry resources and project-tracking tools to uncover new opportunities.
Develop and implement sales initiatives that support business growth and revenue objectives.

Relationship Management & Industry Engagement

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and other promotional activities.
Build lasting customer relationships by providing knowledgeable product guidance and responsive service.
Investigate customer concerns, recommend solutions, and work collaboratively with management and internal teams to resolve issues.
Conduct site visits when required to assist with flooring installation, maintenance, and other customer needs.
Contribute to a collaborative sales team focused on delivering strong regional and national results.

Sales Management & Administration

Plan customer visits, schedule meetings, and manage day-to-day activities independently.
Maintain up-to-date product and industry knowledge through professional development, industry publications, networking, and association involvement.
Maintain accurate project records, sales activity updates, and pipeline reports to support forecasting and business planning.
Coordinate documentation and follow-up to ensure opportunities and customer requirements are managed effectively.

WHAT YOU BRING

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to business development and sales.
A results-oriented mindset, with the ability to develop opportunities and grow a sales pipeline.
Excellent organization, time-management, and customer relationship skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
Confidence using computer applications and standard office software.
Experience working with the architecture and design community, commercial flooring, building products, or related industries is an asset.
Flexibility to travel for customer meetings and industry events, with occasional overnight or international travel as required.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Competitive base salary of $90-95K+ plus on target earnings, and uncapped commission
Company vehicle
Expense card
Group benefits plan
Employer contributions to an RRSP
The opportunity to build meaningful industry relationships, influence product specifications, and contribute to business growth.
A collaborative environment that values initiative, customer partnership, and commercial success.

READY TO MAKE YOUR MARK?

If you’re energized by relationship-driven sales, enjoy working with the architecture and design community, and are motivated to connect innovative flooring solutions with exciting projects, we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume to explore this opportunity further.
