Original job description

Who We Are

You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ about 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.

As a Manager, Talent Attraction [Campus] you will:

Lead, coach and develop a national team of campus recruitment professionals, creating clear priorities and enabling strong, consistent delivery across Canada.
Collaborate with Director Talent Attraction & Employer Brand on the Firm’s national campus recruitment strategy, ensuring our approach evolves with business needs, talent priorities and the changing early talent landscape.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment for over 500 co-op students and new graduates annually, ensuring an efficient, consistent and engaging candidate experience.
Attend campus events as a hands-on observer, assessing what resonates with students and what doesn’t, and turning those insights into practical recommendations to improve event design, student experience and brand impact.
Collaborate with business and People & Culture leaders to understand workforce needs and establish hiring priorities
Drive operational excellence across campus recruitment, continuously improving processes, technology, selection practices, governance and ways of working to support high-volume hiring.
Collaborate with the Manager, Employer Brand to strengthen our brand on campuses across Canada, shaping how we engage students through events, digital channels, recruitment marketing and candidate communications.
Build strategic relationships with universities, colleges, career centres and student organizations across Canada to strengthen talent pipelines and our presence in priority markets.
Act as a national campus recruitment expert, using data and market insights to guide decisions, drive consistent practices and advise leaders.

This role requires extensive travel across Southern Ontario and, during peak hiring periods, across Canada as business needs require.

Doane Grant Thornton

If you’re a bit like us, you’re driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking. Here we walk in others shoes before taking action. Just imagine being part of a team that puts “we before me”, where flexAbility is a mindset, and where you trust your colleagues to have your back. At Doane Grant Thornton, you’ll work with inspiring leaders who support your development, both personally and professionally. This is a place where your insatiable curiosity enables you to think, see and hear from a variety of perspectives, a place where every day is different and having the courage to grow is part of who you are. And when all this comes together, well that’s when the magic happens!
