Original job description

The Assistant Team Leader provides support to the management team in executing and overseeing daily retail store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a well-organized and efficient store environment.

Daily Tasks (but not limited to)

Assisting the management team in managing store operations and staff.
Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
Stocking daily products on shelves.
Climbing ladders to reach all areas of the store.
Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
Following up on assigned tasks.
Conducting manager-on-duty tasks: making sure daily breaks, time and attendance are properly tracked and participating in the hiring and performance management process.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Approximately one (1) year of relevant experience in the retail industry.
At least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend).
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

Support the management team with daily store operations, staff oversight, shipment handling, stocking, customer service, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness. Perform cash management, opening and closing duties, task follow-up, and manager-on-duty responsibilities, including tracking breaks and attendance and participating in hiring and performance management.

Requirements

Candidates should have approximately one year of retail experience and at least one year in a supervisory role. They need flexible availability, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, leadership, organizational and teamwork skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
