Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Mississauga
Shift: Rotational Shifts
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with a strong background in Heavy Industrial to oversee the safe and efficient receiving, storage, material flow, and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise hourly employees and ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
- Coordinate employee training, including operational, cross-training, safety, and quality training
- Oversee the proper receiving, identification, handling, and storage of raw materials
- Coordinate material requirements with scheduled production orders
- Manage truck traffic, material movement, loading/unloading, and staging activities
- Ensure materials are properly staged and work orders are completed on schedule
- Monitor production quality and ensure required standards are maintained
- Coordinate with Maintenance regarding equipment, technology, workplace repairs, and improvements
- Communicate with other Supervisors and Management regarding production schedules and order status
- Monitor productivity, scrap loads, safety supplies, fuel reconciliation, customer returns, and other plant activities as required
- Identify operational improvements and provide recommendations to Management
- Prepare required reports and documentation
- Promote a strong culture of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Customer Satisfaction
- Perform other duties and special assignments as required by Plant Management
Requirements
✅ Previous supervisory experience in Heavy Industrial Manufacturing or Steel Manufacturing – Required
✅ Experience supervising a unionized workforce – Required
✅ Experience with heavy materials, steel/metal manufacturing, industrial machinery, or comparable operations
✅ Strong leadership, communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to coordinate production, material flow, work orders, and operational priorities
✅ Professional and courteous approach when working with employees, supervisors, and management
✅ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Salary: $70000-$75000/Yearly
