Company Description Donut Time Concord Bakery has been crafting high-quality baked goods since 1987, with a strong focus on reliability, consistency, and innovation. Headquartered in Concord, Ontario, the company operates multiple SQF-certified, Kosher, and peanut-free manufacturing facilities. Its portfolio includes fresh and frozen bakery products such as donuts, cakes, muffins, cornbread, and seasonal specialties in a variety of packaging formats. Donut Time is known for tailored solutions, scalable production, and client-focused collaboration, serving grocery retailers, foodservice operators, and recognized North American brands with both branded and private label offerings.

Role Description The Quality Assurance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at our Concord, ON facility. This role oversees daily quality assurance activities on the production floor, including monitoring adherence to SQF, Kosher, and food safety standards, conducting inspections, and verifying that products meet internal and regulatory requirements. The supervisor leads and coaches QA, sanitation and production team members, investigates non-conformances, and manages corrective and preventive actions. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and updating quality documentation, analyzing quality data, supporting audits, coordinating with operations and maintenance to resolve issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all bakery lines.

Qualifications

Demonstrated strength in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to monitor processes, verify compliance, and maintain consistent product standards.
Experience in Quality Management, including implementing and maintaining quality systems, procedures, and documentation in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret quality metrics, identify root causes, and recommend data-driven improvements.
Background in Food Science or a related discipline, with knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and best practices for bakery or food production.
Previous supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing, preferably in bakery or food processing.
Familiarity with SQF or other GFSI schemes, Kosher requirements, and allergen control programs.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train teams and work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and logistics.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Post-secondary education in food science, quality, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
