We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Tracker to join our distribution team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to track, monitor, and follow up on critical shipments destined for our major customers. You will act as the vital link between carriers, our warehouse, and high-priority clients to ensure goods arrive safely and strictly on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Domestic Freight Tracking: Actively monitor high-priority FTL (Full Truckload) and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipments from our distribution center to major accounts.
Carrier Management & Follow-Up: Maintain constant daily contact with domestic trucking companies to secure real-time status updates and ensure strict adherence to delivery appointments.
Wholesale & Retail Compliance: Understand and enforce customer-specific delivery requirements, including strict Must Arrive By Date windows, delivery slots, and routing guides.
Proactive Communication: Provide accurate, timely updates to internal sales teams and major account representatives regarding delivery timelines.
Exception & Delay Management: Immediately identify and resolve transit disruptions (e.g., missed appointments, weather, driver delays) and coordinate with carriers to reschedule tight delivery windows.
Documentation Review: Verify bill of lading (BOL) details, delivery receipts, and proof of deliveries (PODs) to ensure accuracy and resolve any shipping discrepancies or shortages.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 2+ years of experience in domestic freight tracking, dispatch, or logistics coordination.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the domestic trucking industry (FTL/LTL).
Technical Skills: Proficiency carrier tracking portals, and Microsoft Excel to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to think on your feet and negotiate with carriers when shipments are delayed.

Gestion et suivi des transporteurs : Maintenir quotidiennement une communication constante avec les compagnies de transport afin d’obtenir des mises à jour en temps réel et de veiller au respect des rendez-vous de livraison.
Exigences des clients de gros et de détail : Comprendre et respecter les exigences spécifiques de chaque client en matière de livraison, notamment les dates limites de livraison, les plages horaires de livraison et les guides de routage.
Communication proactive : Fournir des mises à jour précises et en temps opportun aux équipes de ventes internes et aux représentants de nos principaux comptes concernant les délais de livraison.
Gestion des exceptions et des retards : Identifier immédiatement les problèmes liés au transport, tels que les rendez-vous manqués, les conditions météorologiques ou les retards des chauffeurs, et travailler avec les transporteurs afin de trouver rapidement des solutions et de replanifier les livraisons lorsque nécessaire.
Vérification de la documentation : Vérifier l’exactitude des connaissements (BOL), des reçus de livraison et des preuves de livraison (POD), et assurer le suivi des écarts, des erreurs ou des marchandises manquantes.

Qualifications et compétences

Expérience : Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience dans le suivi des expéditions domestiques, la répartition des livraisons (dispatch) ou la coordination logistique.
Connaissance de l’industrie : Bonne connaissance de l’industrie du transport routier domestique, notamment du transport FTL et LTL.
