Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a 3rd Level Support Analyst based in Montreal to join its Lodging/Managed Residential Product Development team, which delivers integrated access control and security solutions for hospitality and multi-family residential properties. The 3rd Level Support Analyst will be responsible for performing system-level analysis and troubleshooting of integrated hardware and software products, resolving complex technical issues across diverse configurations, and driving rapid problem resolution, continuous product improvement, and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Total Compensation Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

What You Will Do

Perform in-depth system-level analysis of customer incidents across diverse configurations, collect diagnostic information, reproducing faults, and analyzing logs to identify root causes and restore production environments as quickly as possible
Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, mobile, web, and on-premises applications, including databases, services, application components, and AWS cloud environments
Diagnose network connectivity, system integration, and application deployment issues using advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic tools to minimize service disruption
Develop effective workarounds and corrective solutions for complex technical issues, collaborating with Innovation and Engineering teams when permanent fixes require product or software enhancements
Collaborate closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Product Management, and Field Service teams to understand system architecture, resolve escalated issues, and drive continuous improvements in product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction

What we require

5+ years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, troubleshooting, or a related technical field, with a strong foundation in Computer Science, Communications, and Electrical Engineering
Hands-on expertise supporting software-controlled hardware systems and integrated hardware/software solutions, with strong knowledge of electronics, mechatronics, and integrated access control solutions
Broad IT knowledge spanning Windows environments, networking, cloud services, mobile technologies, and enterprise infrastructure, with demonstrated expertise in one or more of these domains
Experience working with cross-functional teams such as development, QA, DevOps, Product Management, and field service representatives to understand system architecture and identify root causes of failures
Fluency in spoken and written English, with the flexibility to collaborate across a global, multidisciplinary team
Up to 5% travel within Canada and US annually.

What we prefer

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Communications, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
Hands-on experience with SQL and MongoDB for database troubleshooting, data analysis, system diagnostics, and complex technical issue resolution
