The Technician – Quality control carries out several tasks focused on ensuring the conformity and quality of the various products and/or automation projects that must be delivered to the customer.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the general conformity of the various products conform to Dracon standards (mechanical and electrical shutters and aesthetic configuration of the control panels);
• Check that the control panels and other productions have been carried out according to the customer’s specifications and compliance with different standards (CSA, etc.);
• Test the control panels produced by the assembly team using appropriate testing and/or control methods (measuring devices, visual inspection, etc.);
• Ensure that the various components comply with the plans and specifications;
• Meet with the assemblers and/or employees of the factory or other departments to inform them, if necessary, of the corrections to be made;
• Authorize delivery to the customer once tests and quality control have been carried out;
• Collaborate as needed on various automation projects in conjunction with project managers;
• All other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• DEC in electrical engineering (industrial electronics technology) or AEC in industrial automation and instrumentation or DEP in electromechanics of automated systems;
• Any other combination of education and experience may be considered;
• Have three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
• Good knowledge of control and automation, electricity, and/or electronics;
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules as well as standards surrounding machine safety;

• Good ability to read plans and electrical diagrams;

• Be able to diagnose and resolve various problems;

• Good team spirit, attention to detail, thoroughness and rigor.

Description du poste / Job Description

Le technicien au contrôle de la qualité (testeur de panneaux de contrôle) réalise plusieurs tâches visant principalement à assurer la conformité et la qualité des différents produits et/ou projets d’automatisation qui doivent être livrés chez le client.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

Assurer la conformité générale des différents produits selon les standards de Dracon (volets mécanique et électrique et configuration esthétique des panneaux de contrôle);
Vérifier que les panneaux de contrôle et autres productions ont été exécutés selon les spécificités des clients et le respect des différentes normes (CSA, etc.);
Tester les panneaux de contrôle produits par l’équipe du montage selon la méthode de tests et/ou de contrôle appropriée (appareils de mesure, contrôle visuel, etc.);
S’assurer que les différentes composantes soient conformes aux plans et devis;
Rencontrer les monteurs et /ou employés de l’usine ou des autres départements pour leur faire part, s’il y a lieu, des corrections à effectuer;
Autoriser la livraison chez le client une fois les tests et le contrôle-qualité effectués;
Collaborer au besoin à différents projets d’automatisation de concert avec les chargés de projets;
Effectuer du soutien technique et/ou du dépannage téléphonique auprès des clients;
Toutes autres tâches connexes.

PROFIL DE COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

Formation / Expérience / Certification

DEC en génie électrique (technologie de l’électronique industrielle) ou AEC en automatisation et instrumentation industrielles ou DEP en électromécanique de systèmes automatisés;
Toute autre combinaison de scolarité et d’expérience peut être considérée;
Posséder trois à cinq années d’expérience pertinente;
Bonnes connaissances en contrôle et automatisation, en électricité et/ou en électronique.

Connaissances

Connaissance des règles de santé et de sécurité au travail de même que les normes entourant la sécurité des machines.

Compétences et aptitudes requises

Être en mesure de lire des plans et des schémas électriques;
Être capable de poser un diagnostic et de résoudre des problèmes variés;
Bon esprit d’équipe, souci du détail, minutie et rigueur.
