Original job description

You bring the sales experience. We'll teach you custom interiors.

You've built trust with customers, handled considered purchases and earned business through strong discovery, clear recommendations and consistent follow-through. At Dream Spaces, you can put that experience to work with company-generated leads, pre-booked in-home appointments and no cold calling required.

About Dream Spaces
We design, manufacture and install custom kitchens, closets, home offices, pantries, Murphy beds and other cabinetry solutions. As we expand across the GTA, we’re looking for an experienced sales professional who can turn a homeowner’s ideas into a practical design, and a confident purchasing decision.

Previous cabinetry experience is welcome, but it isn’t required. If you’ve succeeded in automotive, home improvement, furniture, luxury retail or another consultative sales environment, we’d like to hear what you’ve achieved.

What You Can EarnExpected total annual compensation is CA$50,000 to CA$100,000, including:

$36,000 annual base salary, equivalent to $3,000 per month
Commission
Performance bonuses and sales incentives

Last year, our senior designers earned approximately CA$75,000 to CA$100,000, with our top designer earning more than CA$100,000.

*Individual earnings vary based on sales performance.

The Support Behind Your Success

Company-generated leads and pre-booked appointments, with no cold calling required
Five days of paid initial training covering products, measuring, design fundamentals, pricing, Mozaik and our in-home sales process
Ongoing sales coaching and in-office design and technical support
A Barrie-based team that designs, manufactures and installs its own products
Employee assistance, extended health care and vision care, with 50% of benefit premiums paid by Dream Spaces
Gas gift cards to assist with travel and T2200 documentation where applicable

The Opportunity
You’ll lead customer appointments throughout your assigned GTA territory, taking ownership of the consultation, design, proposal and close. You’ll learn our products, measuring process and Mozaik design software so you can recommend solutions that balance the customer’s needs, style and budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

Discovering what the customer wants to change, why it matters and how they'll make their decision
Taking accurate measurements and developing personalized designs
Presenting recommendations and pricing clearly, with a strong explanation of value
Addressing objections, negotiating confidently and securing sales and deposits
Completing the design and sale during the same appointment when the project scope allows
Following up consistently and maintaining an organized, accurate sales pipeline
Coordinating project details with our internal teams through installation

This role suits someone who enjoys both winning business and working through the details that make a customer project successful.

What You Bring

Five or more years of successful sales experience preferred
A demonstrated record of closing business and achieving sales targets
Experience with consultative, outside, in-home or high-value sales
Confidence discussing budgets, explaining value, and asking for the business
Strong organization, attention to detail and dependable follow-through
Willingness to learn design software, technical information and a new product category
Openness to coaching and ownership of your results
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

We’re interested in concrete examples of your performance: the targets you achieved, the business you won and how you helped customers make significant decisions.

Territory and Schedule
You’ll serve homeowners within your assigned GTA territory, including Vaughan, York Region and Mississauga.

This is a field-based position with regular travel and in-person customer appointments. Weekend availability is required. Specific territory assignments, working days and appointment expectations will be discussed during the interview.

Your Start at Dream Spaces
Your onboarding begins with five days of paid training at our Barrie office, October 26 to 30, 2026.

You’ll receive an introduction to our products, sales process, measuring, cabinetry fundamentals, design principles, pricing and Mozaik software, with ongoing coaching and technical support as you develop in the role.

How to Apply
Submit your resume to our ATS system and instead of a cover letter give us a brief example of a significant sale you personally closed. Tell us:

What you sold
Its approximate value
The main challenge
What you did to win the business

Please omit confidential customer information.

Bring your sales results, curiosity and attention to detail. We’ll help you build the product and design knowledge to apply them at Dream Spaces.

Our Hiring Process

This is a newly created, currently available position supporting our expansion.
Dream Spaces welcomes all qualified candidates and provides accommodation on request throughout the selection process.
We do use artificial intelligence in recruitment; however, a human will review each resume.
