Kitchen Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter – Experienced

Dream Spaces designs and builds custom kitchens, cabinetry, and closets for homeowners across Barrie and Simcoe County. We’re looking for an experienced installer who has done extensive cabinet installation and finishing work, and who takes real pride in how a finished kitchen looks when they walk away from it.

This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who already knows how to take a job from bare walls to final trim, and who can handle the details that separate a good install from a great one without being walked through it.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

• At least five years of hands-on experience installing kitchen cabinets, built-ins, or custom cabinetry
• Strong finish carpentry skills, including crown, light rail, toe kick, panels, fillers, and trim
• The ability to level, shim, scribe, and adjust cabinetry for tight reveals and clean lines, even in out-of-square homes
• Experience installing and adjusting doors, drawers, hinges, and hardware to a high standard
• The ability to read and work from design drawings, measurements, and installation packages
• A sharp eye for detail and high standards for fit and finish
• Experience working safely with hand tools, power tools, and site equipment
• A valid Ontario driver’s license

• Solves problems on site and knows when to raise an issue rather than work around it
• Works independently and stays on task without constant supervision
• Represents the company professionally in clients’ homes and communicates respectfully with homeowners
• Protects the client’s home and leaves every site clean
• Works well with our design, production, and customer service teams
• Takes ownership of the quality of their work and gets it right the first time

The Role

As part of our installation team, you’ll be:

• Installing custom kitchen cabinets, closets, and built-ins in client homes
• Completing all finishing work, including scribing, fillers, panels, crown, trim, and hardware
• Reviewing installation packages and flagging any issues before and during the install
• Identifying and addressing deficiencies before the job is signed off
• Coordinating with the office on schedules, changes, and anything needed to complete the job
• Keeping tools, materials, and vehicles organized and in good condition

Position Details

Position: Full-time

Location: 73 Saunders Road, Barrie, ON, with jobs across Simcoe County

Schedule: Monday to Friday, typically 7:00 a.m. start time

Compensation: $25 to $30/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skill level with opportunity for overtime
