🚗 Dueck Auto Group is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Service Department Manager to lead operations at one of our dealership locations within Metro Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader with a strong background in automotive service operations, team leadership, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of a large service department, leading a high-performing team, driving operational excellence, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively grow the service business by bringing in new customers and increasing department revenue
Identify and implement strategic opportunities for improvement in department processes
Manage the daily operations of the service department
Schedule and assign work to technicians to ensure timely, high-quality repairs
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business
Monitor and control department expenses, budgets, and KPIs, with a strong focus on gross profit growth
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies
Recruit, train, mentor, and develop service technicians and advisors
Collaborate with sales teams, Dueck Auto Group management teams, support departments, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications:

3+ years in a service manager or supervisory role (truck, automotive, or equipment repair)
Proven track record of increasing revenue, bringing in new business, or growing a service department
Strong knowledge of medium-duty truck systems and repairs
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in service management software and the Microsoft Office Suite

Logistical Requirements:

The position may require working extended hours, including weekends, in order to meet deadlines based on the needs of the business. Professional attire is required (business casual dress code).
