Start: Immediately
End: June 25, 2027 / all classes are dependent upon student enrollment
Location: Support 5 PSW School Locations (Beaverton, Port Perry, Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax)
Applications are currently being accepted for the above position. The successful applicant should have teachable(s) in at least one of the subject area(s) identified in the above posting and hold certification in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
Required
- Certificate of Qualification/ Interim Certificate of Qualification (must be in good standing) from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Adult and Continuing Education Experience
- Senior Basic Qualifications, Tech Qualifications
- Experience teaching on Desiree2Learn (D2L) platform as the course is run on D2L with adult students attending in person, on-line, and/or asynchronously
- Thorough understanding of the PSW Quality Assurance Framework.
- Experience developing and maintaining community partnerships and placement opportunities
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Will be paid according to the Continuing Education hourly rate, $57.84/hour, as per the current collective agreement for each designated day of the program.

Responsibilities
Teach courses in the Personal Support Worker program and coordinate student placements across five school locations. Develop and maintain community partnerships and placement opportunities while supporting course delivery to adult students in person, online, and asynchronously.
Requirements
Applicants must hold an Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification or Interim Certificate in good standing and have a teachable in at least one listed subject area. Desired qualifications include adult and continuing education experience, D2L teaching experience, knowledge of the PSW Quality Assurance Framework, strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
