This position is located at 901 McKay Rd, Pickering ON L1W 3A3, Duffin Creek, Ontario.

Maintenance Operator 3 - Millwright, WasteWater

The duties include:

• Operate and maintain the Water Pollution Control Plant
• Maintain and repair pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, chemical delivery system, centrifuges, pumps, and other equipment as required- Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Install, align and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Operate hoistingand lifting devicesto position machinery and parts duringthe installation, set up and repair of machinery
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
• Operate machinetools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate partsrequired during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
• Standby duty, overtime work and the ability to respond quicklyas required as well as the abilityto work on a rotating shift schedule
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Applicants must have:

• A minimum of 14 years of formal education
• A Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic 433A (Millwright) or be in possession of an Interprovincial Red Seal Trade Certification
• A valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
• Written and passed the Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Licence exam with Ontario WaterWastewater Certificate Office (OWWCO).
• Familiarity in any of the following areas would be an asset:computerized and hands-onplant operations, Confined Space, First Aid and CPR, WHMIS, Aerial Work platform, Forklift, Boom Truck operation, and computer maintenance management systems

Maintenance Operator 3 - Skilled Trades Job Rate

• $51.33 per hour
