About the Job

At DV8, we’re looking for someone who gets agency life and has a natural knack for both marketing and business development.

You understand brands, campaigns and client needs, but you’re also the kind of person who can spot an opportunity, start the right conversation and help turn that conversation into new business.

Business development is a key part of this role from day one. You’ll research brands, identify opportunities, connect with marketing decision-makers and help open doors for DV8. But you won’t be doing that in isolation.

You’ll also contribute to pitches, strategy, client relationships and campaign thinking, working closely with our creative, media and digital teams to turn opportunities into strong agency solutions.

Some days you’ll be researching a brand you think DV8 should be talking to. Other days you may be preparing for a pitch, joining a client meeting, shaping a proposal or helping move a campaign forward.

We’re looking for someone who is curious about brands, confident in conversations, commercially minded and excited by the energy of a marketing agency.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new business development through email, HubSpot LinkedIn, phone outreach and strategic prospecting
Research brands, audiences, competitors and marketing activity to uncover relevant opportunities and make outreach more meaningful.
Connect with marketing leaders and decision-makers through email, LinkedIn, calls and other prospecting channels to open new-business conversations.
Build, manage and nurture the prospect pipeline, ensuring opportunities, follow-ups and next steps are consistently tracked and moved forward.
Qualify potential opportunities by understanding a prospect’s business needs, marketing priorities, challenges, budgets and timelines.
Support the development of new-business proposals, pitch decks and presentations, turning research and insights into persuasive agency recommendations.
Work closely with creative, media, digital and strategy teams to develop campaign ideas, audience approaches and marketing solutions for prospective and existing clients.
Participate in brainstorms, discovery calls, pitches and client meetings, contributing ideas and taking ownership of follow-ups.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business objectives, expectations and evolving marketing needs.
Support day-to-day account management, including presentations, reports, timelines, coordination and client communication.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by introducing relevant DV8 capabilities, new campaign ideas and additional areas of support.
Stay informed on brands, consumer behaviour, cultural trends and industry developments that can lead to new-business or client-growth opportunities.
Manage multiple prospects, clients and deliverables at once while maintaining strong organization, attention to detail and momentum.

Qualifications & Experience

We’d love to meet someone with:

Basic experience in a marketing, advertising, media or creative agency environment, ideally with exposure to business development, account management or client servicing
Ability to communicate in one or more South Asian languages, such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Gujarati or Bengali, is highly valued for this role. DV8 works extensively with multicultural audiences, and this capability will support campaign development, cultural nuance, client work and communication with relevant audiences and partners.
A genuine interest in business development and agency growth
A strong understanding of marketing, brands and client relationships
Confidence reaching out to and speaking with marketing decision-makers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to research a brand and quickly understand where an opportunity may exist
Strong presentation and storytelling skills
Curiosity about consumer behaviour, advertising and culture
A proactive mindset, you don’t always wait to be told what comes next
Persistence and confidence following up without being overly aggressive
Strong organization and attention to detail
The ability to balance multiple prospects, clients and deadlines
Comfort working in a fast-moving agency environment
A collaborative personality and willingness to work across creative, media, digital and strategy teams
Familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other prospecting and CRM tools is an asset
