Eaglecom is a specialized fundraising agency that helps nonprofit organizations raise millions of dollars through television, media, analytics, creative, and fundraising strategy. As we grow, we're looking for a Human Resources Manager to manage and scale our people practices for the future while maintaining an exceptional employee experience and culture.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Manager is Eaglecom's primary HR lead, responsible for running day-to-day people operations, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, recruitment, and policy and compliance, while partnering with senior leadership on department strategy, organizational planning, and scalable HR systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations, Performance & Development

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, supporting conflict resolution and workplace concerns.
  • Guide performance management, including goal setting, coaching, feedback, and career pathing.
  • Identify and implement training, professional development, and leadership development programs.
  • Develop engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and engagement surveys.

Policy, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and confidential records.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. employment legislation and workplace regulations.
  • Support health and safety programs and training.
  • Advise managers on employment legislation, policies, and best practices.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

  • Support compensation benchmarking, salary reviews, and benefits administration.
  • Coordinate leaves of absence and annual benefit renewals.
  • Manage HR systems and records and identify opportunities to automate processes.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Oversee the full-cycle hiring process: review and post job descriptions; manage applicant flow and screening; coordinate interviews, reference and background checks; and prepare offers. Partner with hiring managers and external recruiting partners as needed.
  • Build employer branding and talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Own onboarding and offboarding, including a consistent onboarding plan, clear manager responsibilities, employee check-ins, and exit interviews.

HR Strategy & Organizational Planning

  • Partner with leadership on department strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Improve HR systems, reporting, and workflows as Eaglecom grows.
  • Leverage AI and technology tools responsibly to modernize HR operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Canadian employment legislation.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills; advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting U.S. employees or employees across multiple jurisdictions.
  • CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent HR designation, and/or post-secondary education in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in a professional services, agency, or fast-paced environment.
  • Experience implementing HR systems, process improvements, and AI/automation tools.
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking and workforce planning.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

  • Consistent onboarding, performance management, and employee experience across departments.
  • Modernized HR policies, processes, and people metrics.
  • Elevated leadership capability and scalable systems that support Eaglecom's growth.
