Our 120 team members proudly serve our customers across Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.

What you’ll do…

We’re currently looking for a Human Resources Director to head our HR department at EastGen! Your key responsibilities include:

Setting direction for HR Department & HR Team Members
Provide coaching, guidance, and business partnership to leaders
Ensure EastGen is legally compliant and up to date on relevant policies/procedures
Ownership of talent management processes throughout the full employee lifecycle (employer branding, recruitment and selection, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, exit management, etc.)
Manage compensation, wellness, benefits, and retirement savings programs
Oversight of full payroll cycle (bi-monthly)
Maintain a safe working environment through Health & Safety Programs
Develop and execute annual learning and development strategy
Use data to inform business decisions through HR Analytics and KPI Dashboard
Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
Lead HR strategic projects as required
Travel up ~10% of the time across Ontario and Atlantic provinces

Who you are…

You’re energized by making an impact. You build strong relationships, think strategically, and deliver results. You use data and insight to guide your decisions, approach challenges creatively, and have the confidence to question how things have always been done. You drive accountability and high performance while fostering a positive, respectful, and engaging environment. You’re equally comfortable leading strategic initiatives and diving into the details to get the work done.

Ideally you will bring the following skills and abilities to this role:

Minimum 7 years progressive HR experience; ideally in a Sr. HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or related position
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field
CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE designation, or equivalent
Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and best practices
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Previous experience in ADP is an asset
Experience in organization design and/or compensation program development is an asset

What we offer…

Challenging and meaningful work
A positive, collaborative team culture
Health and dental benefits available on Day 1
RRSP company match
Performance incentive opportunity
Learning and development opportunities
Extra Perks: Recognition rewards, corporate discount program, and corporate clothing allowance
Estimated Compensation: $100,000-130,000. The final salary offer will be determined by your skills, experiences, and qualifications.

Don’t meet every single qualification listed? No worries! If you are enthusiastic about the role and believe you can contribute to our team, we’d love to hear from you anyways.

EastGen is dedicated to creating an inclusive and accessible work environment. We welcome requests for accommodations throughout our recruitment process that will enable you to participate fully and barrier free. Please contact amanda.stokes@eastgen.ca to discuss your unique needs.
