Work Location: 6080 Young Street, Halifax, NS (On-site, 5 days per week)

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Manager, Business Implementation

Employment Status: Full time, 40 hours per week

Our Business Implementation team is looking for an organized and customer-focused Implementation Specialist to help bring our business solutions to life. Reporting to the Manager, Business Implementation, you’ll coordinate the implementation of customer-specific Voice, Data and Video solutions, from planning through to completion. Working with teams across Eastlink, as well as customers or external partners, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with the approved design.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating moving pieces, building relationships, solving problems and seeing a project through to successful delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage Customer Implementation

Manage multiple customer implementation projects simultaneously, keeping timelines, budgets and quality objectives on track.
Coordinate implementation activities and key milestones from planning through to completion.
Work closely with Customer Solutions Engineering to ensure solutions are implemented according to the approved engineering design.
Monitor project budgets and ensure spending remains aligned with forecasts.

Coordinate Across Teams

Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate the efficient delivery of customer solutions.
Work with Procurement and suppliers to ensure required equipment and materials are available when needed.
Identify risks, roadblocks and potential delays, working with the appropriate teams to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.

Keep Customers and Teams Connected

Serve as a key point of contact throughout the implementation, providing customers and key partners with clear and timely updates.
Proactively respond to questions or concerns and bring the right people together to address issues.
Prepare project status updates outlining progress, risks, key milestones and upcoming activities.
Maintain accurate project records and tracking tools, including progress updates and anticipated completion dates.

What We're Looking For

Post-secondary education in a related field; an engineering degree is considered an asset.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners.
A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive experience.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take initiative and adapt as priorities change.
Telecommunications knowledge or experience is preferred, particularly with Internet, Data, Voice and Cable TV services.
Knowledge of network infrastructure and design, including structured cabling, fibre optic and hybrid fibre-coaxial (HFC) systems, is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
A valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel locally and regionally, as required.
