Position Overview:

Reporting to the production supervisor, this position involves assembling electrical and mechanical components according to prescribed information documents. The assembler will need to position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit, and modify components of the Eaton product line, such as electrical switchboards

In this function you will:

Review and interpret drawings.
Check parts picked/delivered to parts required. Resolve discrepancies, if any, with supervisor when required.
Install steel, aluminum, copper, insulation, and wiring components, and modify them as needed.
Install busbars and perform wiring in accordance with specifications and CSA standards.
Inspect and verify incoming parts against assembly records, notify of shortages, and reject damaged parts.
Clean the equipment and prepare it for testing.
Perform in-process inspections as required.
Use appropriate tools to perform assembly, as well as adjust or repair the product as needed.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal materials replenishment system.
Work with site managers to develop and plan capacity to ensure the production plan is well supported.
Assist team in achieving plant and department goals.
Work according to CSA standards and the company’s quality requirements.
Work according to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and engineering instructions
Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S.
Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
Work in an environment that promotes goals, company philosophy, teamwork, customer orientation, continuous improvement, and safety to ensure alignment with Eaton’s values.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma / Secondary 5 from an accredited institution or equivalent.
Must be able to speak and read in French.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 80Km of Lachine will be considered.
Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

6 months experience in a manufacturing environment.
6 months mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience.

Basic computer skills.
Effective communication / interpersonal skills.
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Installer des barres omnibus et faire le filage conformément aux spécifications et aux normes CSA
Inspecter et vérifier les pièces entrantes par rapport aux dossiers d’assemblage, aviser des pénuries ainsi que de rejetez celles endommagées.
Nettoyer l’équipement et le préparer pour les tests.
Effectuer des inspections en cours de fabrication au besoin.
Utiliser les outils appropriés afin d’effectuer l’assemblage, ainsi que d’ajuster ou réparer le produit au besoin.
Maintenir l’exactitude et l’intégrité du système interne de réapprovisionnement des matériaux.
Travailler avec les gestionnaires du site, développer et planifier la capacité pour s’assurer que le plan de production est solidement soutenu.
Aider l’équipe à atteindre les objectifs de l’usine et du département.
Travailler selon les normes CSA et les exigences de qualité de l’entreprise.
Travailler selon les procédures d’exploitation normalisées, la nomenclature, les informations de fabrication et les instructions de l’ingénierie.
Entretenir l’équipement et effectuer les tâches d’entretien ménager au besoin en utilisant les principes des 5S.
Aider à la formation en cours d’emploi et à l’amélioration continue.
Travailler dans un environnement qui favorise les objectifs, la philosophie d’entreprise, le travail d’équipe, l’orientation client, l’amélioration continue et la sécurité afin d’assurer l’alignement avec les valeurs d’Eaton.
