About the Role
EBC is seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Carpenter to support operations on the Highway 11 Interchange Project. The
successful candidate will support the construction and maintenance of
infrastructure projects by building, installing, and repairing temporary and
permanent structures associated with excavation, utility installation, concrete
work, roadworks, and other civil construction activities.
The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
Requirements
- Construct, install, and dismantle
concrete formwork, shoring, and falsework systems.
- Build and maintain temporary structures,
barricades, access platforms, and site facilities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings,
specifications, and site instructions.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood,
metal, and other construction materials.
- Assist with concrete placements,
finishing preparations, and structural installations.
- Ensure all work is completed in
accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and
efficiently.
- Collaborate with supervisors, operators,
labourers, and other trades to meet project schedules.
- Perform routine inspections of tools,
equipment, and completed work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe
worksite.
- Follow company safety policies,
procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Support additional construction
activities as required by project needs.
Qualifications
- Experience
working as a Carpenter, preferably in civil construction, infrastructure,
utilities, roadworks, or heavy construction projects.
· Red
Seal Carpenter certification preferred
· Ability
to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
· Proficiency
with common carpentry tools and equipment.
· Strong
understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
· Valid
driver's license and reliable transportation.
· Strong
communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability
to work multiple shifts, including evenings or weekends, as required.
· Ability
to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Physically
capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding manual work.
· Relevant
certifications are considered an asset.

which is $31-$51 per hour. Compensation within the range is
determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and
internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total
