As our Vehicle Lot and Logistics Supervisor in Oshawa, you will keep a busy logistics centre running smoothly. You will coach a team of Logistics Centre Coordinators, maintain operations standards our clients can count on, and turn real-time data into better decisions. One hour you're reviewing SLA metrics with your Regional Manager; the next you're boosting a battery in a snowbank or getting a delivery out the door. If you know cars and love building great teams, we want to meet you.
We offer a competitive salary ($65,000.00 - $75,000.00); a competitive bonus program; paid time off; participation in our benefits, RRSP matching, and life insurance programs; continuous learning; an amazing culture; and so much more!
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
What You Will Do
- Day-to-Day Operations
- Support the execution of exceptional customer experiences by being hands-on and ready to jump in alongside the team, whether it's washing cars or delivering vehicles.
- Supervise the day-to-day responsibilities of Logistics Centre Coordinators; ensure company processes and standards are consistently followed.
- Drive production and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment while addressing complex issues with strong problem-solving and a customer-centric mindset.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and ensure strict adherence to health and safety practices.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of commercial client SLAs - including inspections, reconditioning, key cutting, property handling, and redemptions - using both in-house and vendor resources.
- Monitor real-time service metrics to proactively resolve delays and provide regular performance reports to the Regional Manager.
- Lead vendor accountability through performance reviews, deficiency resolution, and SOP development and maintenance.
- Team Leadership
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training to equip the team for success; foster a high-performance culture through consistent feedback, goal setting, and creative employee recognition.
- Manage team communications, performance issues, and administrative duties including timecards, PTO, and payroll deadlines.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor SLA performance and key metrics; summarize findings for upper management to drive informed decision-making.
- Identify process optimization opportunities; maintain SOPs, contribute to training documentation, and execute additional duties as assigned by the Regional Manager
- At least 4+ years in an operational role, specifically within the automotive sector.
- Proven experience supervising teams (ideally 3+ people), managing performance, and collaborating with Human Resources on employee relations.
- Skilled at overseeing third-party service providers and ensuring they meet strict SLA and quality standards.
- Familiarity with inspections, diagnostics, reconditioning, and redemption processes.
- Comfortable with "under-the-hood" tasks like boosting batteries and identifying minor mechanical issues.
- Advanced computer skills, specifically with G-Suite, CRM software, and data analysis to drive business recommendations.
- Ability to build trust within a team and handle customer escalations professionally.
- Ability to lead team meetings and safety briefings with a focus on clear communication and skill-building.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, urgent environment and is willing to work a flexible schedule.
- A balanced work environment that combines hands-on fieldwork with office-based tasks.
- Physically active role requiring the ability to lift 20 lbs and work in various positions to inspect vehicles.
- Work takes place in an active operational environment that includes loud noises, contaminants and moving parts.
- Exposure to all weather elements and harsh temperatures. May require snow clearing.
