Role Description The Owner role at Mole Hardware Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. The Owner will oversee overall business operations, including strategic planning, sales performance, supplier relationships, and financial management. This role includes guiding product sourcing and inventory decisions, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining strong customer relationships in the wholesale hardware market. The Owner will lead and mentor a diverse team, establish clear goals, and promote a collaborative, high-performing work environment. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve monitoring market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and representing the company in key negotiations and industry events.
Qualifications

Business leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing operations, setting strategy, and driving organizational performance.
Financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and support sustainable business growth.
Experience in wholesale, distribution, or hardware-related industries, with knowledge of product categories such as drawer slides, hinges, and kitchen or wardrobe hardware.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills for working with suppliers, customers, and partners.
Team leadership capabilities, including mentoring staff, fostering collaboration, and supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and address operational challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to represent the company internally and externally.
Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, and remain hands-on with daily operations and decision-making.
Previous experience as a business owner, senior manager, or director-level leader is highly beneficial.
Relevant education in business, management, or a related field is an asset but not required if balanced by strong practical experience.
