We are seeking an experienced Senior Calibration Technician / Calibration Specialist to join our team. This is a mid- to senior-level position for a skilled calibration and metrology professional with strong hands-on experience in the calibration, verification, maintenance, and management of measurement and test equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and performing calibration activities across the organization, maintaining calibration records and systems, supporting equipment traceability, and ensuring calibration activities meet applicable standards and procedures. The role will also provide technical support and guidance to other team members and work closely with laboratory, engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams.

What You Will Do
- Coordinate and manage calibration activities across the organization.
- Perform hands-on calibration, verification, and testing of measurement and test equipment according to approved procedures and standards.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize calibration procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain calibration schedules, equipment records, certificates, and traceability documentation.
- Manage calibration software and ensure equipment information is accurately maintained and up to date.
- Add and maintain new instruments and equipment within the calibration management system.
- Schedule and coordinate external calibration services.
- Review external calibration certificates and calibration results for accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and manage equipment that is out of tolerance or otherwise unsuitable for use.
- Assist with the evaluation and documentation of out-of-tolerance conditions and their potential impact.
- Maintain measurement and test equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure measurement standards and reference equipment are maintained and appropriately traceable.
- Support the development and implementation of calibration methods and technical procedures.
- Support internal and external audits related to calibration and metrology.
- Investigate calibration-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior calibration technicians and other employees.
- Support manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams with calibration and measurement requirements.
- Troubleshoot measurement and instrumentation issues and determine appropriate calibration or verification methods.
- Maintain accurate and complete calibration documentation and records.
- Identify opportunities to improve calibration processes, efficiency, and reliability.
- Perform other calibration and metrology-related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate from a Mechanical Technician/Technologist, Electronic Technician/Technologist, or related technical program; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in calibration, metrology, instrumentation, measurement, or a related technical field.
- Strong hands-on experience with calibration and measurement equipment.
- Experience working with calibration management software or systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, procedures, drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Strong understanding of measurement principles, tolerances, accuracy, precision, and traceability.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal metrology and calibration training or certification.
- Experience as a Senior Calibration Technician, Calibration Specialist, Metrology Technician, or equivalent.
- Experience managing or coordinating an organizational calibration program.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Internal Auditor training or certification would be an asset.
- Experience working with external calibration laboratories.
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining calibration systems within a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical direction to junior technicians.
- Experience with a broad range of electrical, electronic, mechanical, dimensional, pressure, temperature, or other measurement equipment.

- This position is intended for a mid- to senior-level calibration professional who can work independently, take ownership of calibration activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the organization's calibration program.
- Candidates with 5-7+ years of calibration or metrology experience, or demonstrated senior-level technical experience, are encouraged to apply.
