BAS Controls Technician
Toronto, Ontario
$110,000 - $120,000 CAD + Benefits
Our client is a growing building automation and controls specialist delivering BAS solutions across commercial, institutional and technically complex buildings throughout Toronto and the wider Ontario market.
They are looking for an experienced BAS Controls Technician to join their team and take responsibility for the installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting and service of building automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, commission and service BAS/BMS control systems
- Troubleshoot HVAC controls, controllers, sensors, actuators and field devices
- Program and configure Tridium Niagara N4 systems
- Carry out system commissioning and functional testing
- Diagnose faults and provide technical solutions on customer sites
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and customers
- Complete service reports, commissioning documentation and system updates
- Support new installations, upgrades, retrofits and ongoing maintenance projects
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience within BAS, BMS, HVAC Controls or Building Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with controls installation, programming and commissioning
- Tridium Niagara N4 experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control sequences and building automation
- Electrical and controls troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and control diagrams
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently across customer sites
