Edon Management is seeking a Certified Arborist to join our Grounds and Snow Management team. You'll care for trees across commercial, institutional, municipal, and residential properties - pruning, assessing, and removing trees - while supporting year-round grounds and winter snow/ice management.

Key Responsibilities
- Prune, plant, transplant, cable, brace, and remove trees to industry standards.
- Assess tree health, structure, pests, disease, and hazards; recommend treatment or removal.
- Respond to storm damage, emergency tree hazards, and after-hours callouts.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, aerial lift booms, skid steers, and loaders.
- Follow Edon's safety program, OH&S requirements, and Edmonton's Dutch Elm Disease pruning restrictions.
- Assist with grounds maintenance and winter snow/ice clearing as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and contractors, and keep accurate service records.
Required Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist designation in good standing.
- Minimum three years of arboriculture or tree-care experience.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 license with a satisfactory driver's abstract.
- Standard First Aid/CPR (training provided if you don't already hold this)
- Experience operating chainsaws, aerial lift booms, and arboricultural equipment.
- Knowledge of tree species common to Alberta, including common pests, diseases, structural defects, and tree-care practices.
- Knowledge of safe aerial-lift and elevated work-platform practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).
- Pesticide Applicator License.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, or municipal landscape maintenance.
- Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or snow-removal equipment.
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions throughout the year.
- Work at heights using aerial lift booms, with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, and working on uneven terrain.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as part of the essential duties of the position safely and consistently.
- Occasional overtime, after-hours callouts, and emergency response during storms and significant weather events.
