Original job description

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician in Calgary (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Permanent | Full-Time | 40 hours per week

$30.00–$33.00 per hour

Do you take pride in fixing things, solving problems, and making spaces better for the people who use them? Do you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, working hands-on with tools, and tackling a variety of tasks to keep buildings in top condition? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

At Edon, we provide complete building solutions across Alberta, and we believe well-maintained spaces create better experiences for everyone. As a full-time Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting that mission by helping ensure our properties are safe, functional, and welcoming every day.

This role goes beyond basic maintenance. It offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a dedicated operations team, support positive tenant experiences, and grow your career with a company that values its people. Whether you’re completing general repairs, painting, troubleshooting minor building issues, or responding to urgent service calls, your work will have a direct and visible impact on the spaces where people work, learn, and gather.

The position requires a hands-on, adaptable professional who owns and carries a sufficient set of tools to perform day-to-day maintenance tasks independently. You will be expected to travel between sites as needed within Calgary, Airdrie, Strathmore, and Cochrane, making flexibility and reliability key to success in this role.

If you enjoy variety in your workday, take satisfaction in seeing the results of your efforts, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each day, this role is an excellent fit. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and passionate about keeping buildings running smoothly.

Who are we?

To put it simply, we’ve been around for nearly 30 years in Alberta and have grown to be a player in the commercial property management market. Our Team services over 26 million sq. ft. of real estate in over 80 municipalities across the province. Together, we deliver complete building management solutions in partnership with our team members, clients, and subcontractors. This means we’re continually expanding services to meet client needs by providing caretaking, grounds, security, or project management solutions.

At Edon, our goal is to foster an environment where every team member feels empowered, believing that a mix of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences enhances our innovation and excellence. We recognize the value of a diverse workforce and actively encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
